The official announcement of Günther Steiner’s departure, who has been at the helm of the Haas F1 Team since its inception, came as a bombshell in the world of Formula 1.

Following this announcement, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg wasted no time in reacting to the dismissal of their former boss. The two Haas drivers respectively posted a message of gratitude towards Steiner on their social media platforms.

Kevin Magnussen, who raced for the American team from 2017 to 2020 before returning in 2022, had a close relationship with Günther Steiner, through thick and thin.

« Thank you, Günther. Thank you for taking me on this adventure in 2017 and thank you for including me again in 2022. It has been both fun and incredibly stimulating, but never boring. Goodbye and all the best, concludes the Danish pilot.

On his side, Nico Hülkenberg has also joined Haas for the 2023 season, after two seasons as a reserve driver for Racing Point and then Aston Martin. The German driver also wanted to thank his former boss.

Thank you, Günther. For your trust, your friendship, and the opportunity to return to racing in F1! You truly are a character… All the best! », expresses the German.

The two Haas drivers, now under the orders of Ayao Komatsu, are under contract with the American team until the end of the 2024 season.
