Haas confirms the launch date of its F1 2024
Following Haas F1 Team's management reorganization, Ayao Komatsu has announced that Haas's future single-seater for 2024 will be unveiled on February 11 during a shakedown at Silverstone.

As stated by their new team principal Ayao Komatsu, Haas will launch their future car for the 2024 season during a shakedown at Silverstone on Sunday, February 11. The American team will then carry out a second private test in Bahrain, two days before the pre-season testing on the same Sakhir circuit from February 21 to 23.
Asked about his latest race car while addressing a small group of media, Komatsu remained realistic: “The 2024 car is an obvious evolution, but as for whether it is competitive enough compared to the competition from the start, I don’t think so, as we started very late.”
“We changed the concept very late as well […]. I am realistic about the car we are presenting in Bahrain, but not in a negative way. It’s not our engineers’ or guys’ fault. They are competent people,” he expressed.
During the offseason, Haas changed team principal but also suffered the loss of their technical director, Simone Resta. However, the American team has still not officially announced who will take up this position in 2024.
« For me, the key is, regardless of the car in Bahrain, whatever problem we encounter, to try to understand it and progress from that point as a team. We are a small team, as you know. We must move forward as one, otherwise we have no chance.

To answer your question directly, it’s a step forward. Is it enough? No. But what we do from this point is how to show whether we can improve the team or not, concluded the Japanese director.
Like all its rivals, Haas will continue with an unchanged driver duo in 2024, with Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg starting their second season together.
