AlphaTauri is teasing on its social media platforms its new name: Boss Racing Bulls
AlphaTauri teased its new name on social media at 8pm on Tuesday evening. An acronym B.RB with a background of a blue bull. Rumors have been circulating for several months about a change in identity. It will therefore be announced in the coming hours.
B.RB: the possible acronym for BOSS Racing Bulls. AlphaTauri, the ready-to-wear company of the Red Bull group, will therefore no longer be used this season to refer to the second Red Bull team, the Faenza factory. This was announced several weeks ago by Peter Bayer.
We are going to change the name of the company, the identity, the logo.
It is in this context that the name AlphaTauri disappears to make way for Racing Bulls, in order to highlight the convergence of the two teams. But the team will also be sponsored by Visa and Cash App, whose names will be added to Racing Bulls. The team’s full name was spotted on the team’s social media platforms before being changed.
The identity is what Toro Rosso would have been, and it is once again becoming closer to the Red Bull family. But then, it will appear with partners for naming rights. We are going to change the company name, we are going to change the identity, the logo, everything, a complete relaunch, a complete overhaul of the brand image, explains Peter Bayer, former executive director of AlphaTauri.
We now know with this acronym that it will indeed be called Racing Bulls. Red Bull has thus chosen to name its second team with the same initials. The Racing Bulls website was registered by Red Bull GmbH in July 2023.
A sponsor outside the Red Bull group: BOSS
The “B” used in the font of the image provided by the AlphaTauri account is identical to the typeface of the Boss logo. Boss is a brand involved in Formula 1 for many years and is notably equipping Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso in 2023.
The company Hugo Boss could logically see its role as a sponsor being promoted to the position of title sponsor for a team, thereby replacing another luxury clothing brand in the process.
This sponsor will be present in the team according to our internal sources in the team. However, it is not yet officially known if the name “Boss” will be used as the title sponsor.
