AlphaTauri (Racing Bulls) unveils its long-format documentary: “Whatever It Takes: The Race Before The Races”
Just before its identity and name change, the Italian team unveiled a feature film that retraces its history.
AlphaTauri has officially entered a new era and has taken the opportunity to unveil a film telling its story since its creation. The Italian team, which competed in its first Formula 1 season in 2006 under the name Scuderia Toro Rosso, has officially released a documentary that was premiered in Venice in September 2023.
This documentary, produced by AlphaTauri and its media partner, Digital Ligthouse, retraces the story of the Faenza team. Franz Tost, Pierre Gasly, Yuki Tsunoda, Jody Egginton, and Peter Bayer appear throughout the feature film to narrate the evolution of the racing team.
The documentary starts with the foundation of the team, under the name of Scuderia Toro Rosso. It then goes back in time to the very first victory of the Italian team at Monza in 2008 and the challenges they faced over the years. The film also highlights the drivers who raced for the “B team” of Red Bull, such as Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. The documentary then covers the transition to Scuderia AlphaTauri in 2020, with new facilities, more ambitious goals, and another victory at Monza, thanks to Pierre Gasly in 2020.
The hour and a half documentary is available in its original language (English and Italian) with subtitles, only in these two languages.
