The story of Günther Steiner’s second book is likely to be altered due to his departure from Haas
Dismissed from Haas two weeks ago, Günther Steiner seems to want to focus on the release of his second book. The former executive director of the American team admits that the story could be modified due to his departure.

Günther Steiner has been in F1 with Haas since the arrival of the American team in 2016. The team achieved a fifth place in the constructor’s standings in 2018, their best result. However, they have never been on the podium and their best race performance was only a fourth place.
But after eight seasons at the helm of the team, Gene Haas decides not to renew Steiner’s contract and has promoted Ayao Komatsu in his place. This departure will allow the Italo-American to focus on the release of his second book.
We had a great time.
« We are currently working on the second book. The book was already planned in advance. Now, of course, the story may change slightly. In fact, I really enjoyed working with the author. He’s a cool guy, we had a lot of fun. And as he said, he also had a lot of fun working with me. There was never any pressure. We didn’t say to ourselves, “We have to do it.” Everything developed organically, explains Günther Steiner.
“It was a completely new experience and I learned a lot about how certain industries work, about the way things are done, because I’ve never experienced anything like it before,” continued the fifty-year-old.
The former executive director of Haas had published his first book entitled “Surviving to Drive” last April, recounting the 2022 season of the American team. The book has sold over 150,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into twelve different languages.
