The Ferrari 2024 will be named the SF-24
While the Scuderia Ferrari will only unveil its car on February 13th, the Italian team has just revealed the name their red car will bear: the SF-24.

If since nearly their debut in F1, the Ferrari car has sported red, the name of the chassis, on the other hand, is a source of mystery. The prancing horse brand often names its F1 cars according to the calendar year with the F14-T, SF15-T, and SF16-H, respectively in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
However, the Italian team has already moved away from this logic with the SF70H in 2017 and the F1-75 in 2022, to celebrate the 70th and 75th anniversaries of the car manufacturer. Not to mention the SF90, for Ferrari’s 90th anniversary, and the SF1000 for Ferrari’s 1,000th Grand Prix in F1, a milestone reached during the Tuscan Grand Prix on September 13, 2023.
The single-seater for 2024 will simply be named SF-24, it succeeds the SF-23. Ferrari has officially confirmed the information on its social networks.
New year, New name.

If it is not certain that the SF-24 will compete for the title against the Red Bull and Max Verstappen behemoths, Charles Leclerc, who recently extended his contract with Ferrari for several seasons, and Carlos Sainz will hope to win a few races behind the wheel of this red car. However, we will have to wait until February 13th for this car to be officially unveiled.
