Williams announces the return of a historical partner with Komat’su
As part of the presentation of the livery for their future FW46, Williams has announced the signing of a well-known partner of the British team: Komatsu.

With the unveiling of its new livery for the 2024 car, Williams also highlighted its sponsors who will accompany the Grove team during this new season.
The British team took advantage of this opportunity to announce a new major and multi-year partnership with Komatsu, a manufacturer of heavy equipment for construction, mining, forestry, and industry.
The Komatsu logo will be featured on the FW46 driven by Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant, as well as on the drivers’ suits and Williams Racing team uniforms.
This partnership is not new for Williams as it already existed in the 1980s and 1990s, during one of Williams’ most successful periods in Formula 1. During this time, Komatsu notably provided gearbox parts for the FW18 and FW19 cars, which won the two World Championships in 1996 and 1997.
Hiroyuki Ogawa, CEO of Komatsu, commented on this new partnership. Komatsu and Williams Racing share values around innovation and the development of our employees, and through our partnership, we are looking forward to creating value together, on and off the track.
“Our partnership with Williams Racing is aligned with Komatsu’s mission to create value through manufacturing and technology innovations to promote a sustainable future where people, businesses, and our planet can thrive together,” he said.
The Williams FW46 will make its track debut during a filming day in Bahrain on February 20th, the day before pre-season testing.
