The F1 Academy will distribute super license points to the top five in the championship
The FIA has decided to award super license points for the top 5 of the F1 Academy. The champion will receive ten points, which is a quarter of the total units required to obtain permission to race in F1.

The F1 Academy is continuing its development for its second season. The category was born from the ashes of the W-Series, whose economic model proved to be unsustainable due to all the championship costs being paid to the drivers.
Contrary to the W-Series, the F1 Academy relies on the support of F1 teams. The drivers involved in this championship are part of different academies. French driver Doriane Pin is contracted with Mercedes, Swiss driver Tina Hausmann is supported by Aston Martin, Lia Block is a part of the Williams academy, and the Al Qubaisi sisters, Amna and Hamda, have joined the Red Bull fold.
The 2024 F1 Academy season will consist of eight Grand Prix races featuring the circuits of Jeddah, Miami, Barcelona, Zandvoort, Singapore, Losail, and Abu Dhabi. The races will take place on the same days as the F1 races. In France, they will be broadcasted by the Canal+ group.
Points for a super licence for the top 5.
In addition to all these measures implemented to facilitate the proper development of the F1 Academy, the category will also award super license points to the top five drivers in the championship. The points system is as follows: ten for the champion, seven for the runner-up, five for third place, three for fourth place, and one for fifth place.
Knowing that you need to earn 40 points to obtain your super license, an essential element to be able to compete in Formula 1. These points, awarded by the FIA, are an additional requirement for the functioning of this all-female promotional category in the future years.
