Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton on track at Jerez for Pirelli tests
As the winter offseason is coming to an end, Fernando Alonso got back behind the wheel of an Aston Martin, the AMR 22, to perform a test session for Pirelli tire testing.
As the F1 season resumes on March 2nd, some drivers are starting to regain the joy of getting behind the wheel of their single-seaters. Fernando Alonso carried out a private test session today at the Jerez circuit as part of a Pirelli tire test.
The double world champion was not the only one to take the track, as Lewis Hamilton was also present to test a prototype of tires from the Italian manufacturer. These tires could be introduced by Pirelli as early as 2025 if the tests are successful.
The YouTube channel El MIRA has published a short video of the double world champion performing laps on the track behind the wheel of the AMR 22.
