A “easier to drive” and “more maneuverable” SF-24 according to the pilots
The Ferrari drivers have shared their first impressions after the very first laps on the track with the new SF-24, the Scuderia's car for the 2024 season. Whether it's about their feelings or objectives, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. are on the same wavelength.

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr., who have been partnered at Ferrari since 2021, had the opportunity to take the new SF-24 for a few laps, as revealed on Tuesday, February 13th. The drivers discussed the changes made to this car, as well as the objectives of the Scuderia for the 2024 season.
“I really like the look of the car, including the white and yellow parts on the body,” stated Charles Leclerc. “But of course, what really interests me is its performance on the track, because that’s all that matters.”
The SF-24 should be less sensitive and easier to drive, and for us as pilots, that’s what you need to perform well. I expect the car to be a step forward in several areas and based on the impression I had in the simulator, I think we are where we want to be, continued the Monegasque.
This season, the goal is to be in the lead all the time, and I want to give our fans many reasons to rejoice by dedicating them race victories,” Charles Leclerc concluded ambitiously.
Now, I’m looking forward to driving it on the track to see if it matches the feeling I had in the simulator, which is that it represents the progress we all want. The goal is to have a more manageable car and therefore capable of maintaining a consistent race pace, as these are the basic requirements for competing for victories.
We, the drivers, have done our best to provide the engineers with accurate feedback and I’m sure the staff in Maranello will have listened to our needs. We want to give the fans something to celebrate, as they were so supportive last year, even when things weren’t going as we hoped. » concluded the Spanish driver.
The two drivers will quickly meet again behind the wheel of their new single-seater. Indeed, a second more substantial testing session is scheduled for tomorrow, still at Fiorano. The Scuderia Ferrari will then be fully prepared before heading off to participate in the pre-season tests, which will take place in Bahrain from February 21st to 23rd.
