F2 standings after Belgium: Pourchaire takes back the championship lead
After Belgium, the Formula 2 championship was turned upside down: the race is relaunched from all sides as Théo Pourchaire regains the championship lead ahead of Frederik Vesti.

This July in Formula 2 was going to be crucial for the championship. With four events in one month, it was the decisive moment of this season. Just before the summer break, there is a new leader in the standings with Théo Pourchaire.
Everyone saw Frederik Vesti as a strong leader, even stealing the spotlight from the young Theo Pourchaire. It’s true, the Dane has been impressive throughout the season. However, everything changed at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. During the formation lap, Vesti got caught out on the Kemmel straight. He couldn’t start the race despite starting in second place. A disaster. Theo Pourchaire, who had a very solid race finishing in second, was able to take the lead in the Formula 2 championship, now with a 12-point advantage.
