After Ferrari’s presentation yesterday, it is now Mercedes’ turn to unveil its new race car for the 2024 season on this Wednesday, February 14th. Accompanied by its drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, Toto Wolff proudly presented the W15.

And Mercedes has unveiled a little surprise! In addition to its carbon black that it brought last season, the famous silver gray of the German team returns on the silver arrows’ car. The turquoise blue lines of sponsor Petronas are well present, and the stars of the German company are much more visible on the engine hood.

“We know that we have a mountain to climb to fight at the top of the pack. The pre-season period went well and the whole team is incredibly focused and determined,” said Toto Wolff.

On the aerodynamic side, Mercedes presented quite classic sidepods, but the front wing is very surprising, as well as the air intakes that appear to be new.

“We have learned and grown as a team over the past two seasons,” commented George Russell. “It hasn’t been a smooth journey, but I truly believe that the path we have taken will make us stronger in the long run. The whole team is working incredibly hard and we hope to have taken a step forward with the W15,” he continued.

“The lessons of the last two years have helped us find our direction,” added Lewis Hamilton. “It will still be a work in progress, but we will face all the challenges that come our way with our heads held high, an open mind, and we will work intensively to overcome them.”

The new W15 will take to the track today for its first run, at the Silverstone circuit.
