The new McLarens, Mercedes and Ferraris were on the track this Wednesday
One week before the start of pre-season testing in Bahrain, the teams carried out their final shakedown before beginning the 2024 season.

Most teams complete their 200-kilometer shakedown before heading to Bahrain for winter testing. Today, McLaren and Mercedes were at Silverstone for their first and only run, while Ferrari was at Fiorano for their second run in two days.
The MCL38, which was revealed in its true form on Wednesday, February 14th, took to the Silverstone track for its first and only private test. The British team shared photos and videos of Lando Norris at the wheel of the new McLaren in the rain.

McLaren was not the only team present at Silverstone. Indeed, Mercedes also conducted its shakedown following the presentation of the new W15, which features a mixture of gray and black.
As we can see in the short video posted by Mercedes on its social media, George Russell was the first to hit the track with the new 2024 Mercedes.

Finally, on their side, Ferrari was at Fiorano for their second day of testing. The day after the presentation of the SF-24 and its first short test drive, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. carried out the real shakedown of their car.
The Scuderia shared a nice video on their social media platforms, providing an immersive experience inside the cockpits of the Ferrari drivers.
