Lance Stroll fined in Japan on Friday for going 0.9 km/h over the speed limit
The 2024 Japanese Grand Prix looks a little more expensive than expected for Lance Stroll, who receives a fine for speeding in the pit lane. The Aston Martin team will have to pay 100 euros to the FIA.
100€ per Km/h above the speed limit is the fine if you exceed 80 Km/h here in Suzuka. The FIA, International Automobile Federation, radars caught Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin speeding: 80.9 km/h instead of the authorized 80 km/h.
As stipulated in Article 34.7 of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations, following this infringement, the stewards have decided to fine the Aston Martin team 100 euros.
« The competitor (Formula 1 Aston Martin Aramco Team) is fined 100 euros. Car 18 exceeded the speed limit in the pit lane set at 80 km/h for this event by 0.9 km/h, explained the FIA stewards.
Garry Connolly, Loïc Bacquelaine, Enrique Bernoldi and Kazuhiro Tsuge are the FIA delegates responsible for the decisions this weekend.
