F2 Barcelona Private Test – Day 3: Hadjar finishes with fastest lap
French driver Isack Hadjar ended the week with the fastest time of 1:23.139. His team-mate, Josep María Martí, who had finished the second day in the lead, had the best time so far. The Campos Racing drivers thus complete a one-two finish this week.

The best for last, as they say. French driver Isack Hadjar signed the best time of the last testing day at Barcelona, on the Catalan circuit. He is ahead of his teammate at Campos Racing by 4 tenths.
The other French driver, Victor Martins, sets the 4th fastest time of the day at 7 tenths behind Isack Hadjar.
It was still cool today in Barcelona. The best times were set in the morning with programs for most of the drivers focused on short relay races typical of qualifications. Most drivers did longer relays in the afternoon to work on tire management in particular.
From the first minutes of the morning, the circuit was placed under a red flag when Amaury Cordeel’s car (Hitech Pulse-Eight) came to a stop. After the restart, Hadjar quickly took the lead with a time of 1:26.461, establishing a 0.4-second gap with his pursuers. Oliver Bearman briefly took the lead before Martí regained the advantage for Campos with a time of 1:23.867, surpassing Bearman by 0.027 seconds. Victor Martins, a driver at ART Grand Prix, also stood out by positioning himself just behind with a time of 1:23.853.
The morning session was interrupted several times by red flags, notably due to issues encountered by Roman Stanek and Joshua Duerksen, the latter stopping in the final sector. The session resumed but there was a fourth red flag in the last half hour when Paul Aron left the track to once again bring a halt to the morning. Despite these interruptions, Hadjar managed to further improve his time at the end of the morning, setting a new record during these three days of testing.
This Thursday therefore took place the third and final day of private mid-season testing. The F2 will return during the Imola Grand Prix, from 17 to 19 May.
