F1 Academy – Alpine on the podium, Doriane Pin finishes second
The F1 Academy is back this weekend in Miami! The girls hit the track on Saturday night for the second round of the 2024 championship, the second since the start of the campaign. One of our two French drivers, Doriane Pin racing for Prema, was on the front row. Result of this first race of the weekend: a second place on the podium behind the British driver Abbie Pulling.

The second season of the F1 Academy started two months ago in Jeddah. The fifteen drivers are back this weekend in the United States for two races at the Miami circuit. Among our French drivers, Doriane Pin has had a flying start to the 2024 season.
The Mercedes driver had largely dominated the first races of the season and the entire weekend, notably winning the first race before being penalized in the second for not seeing the checkered flag, in addition to having a radio problem. But this early season has also shown competition with Abbie Pulling, currently leading the championship. The British driver once again demonstrated it this Saturday evening at the Miami circuit, proving to be a tough competitor for the Mercedes protegee. After dominating the qualifying session, Abbie Pulling finished first on Saturday evening ahead of Dorianne Pin and Chloe Chambers who completed the podium of the first race of the weekend.
A second race with confidence
Barely the first race of the weekend was over, it is now time to focus on the second one which will take place this Sunday on the Miami circuit. With Dorianne Pin’s impressive start this Saturday, the Frenchwoman will start from third position and the eleventh for her compatriot Lola Lovinfosse who finished in the same place this Saturday benefiting from a problem on Lia Block’s single-seater.
Best lap in the race for Abbie Pulling
The Alpine Academy driver has secured two impressive rewards. In addition to her first place in the first race of the weekend in Miami, she also set the fastest lap during the race just before the checkered flag. Taking advantage of her lead, she pulled away to more than three seconds ahead of Doriane Pin, solidifying her first place on the podium. Abbie Pulling also strengthens her position as leader of the 2024 F1 Academy championship. Join us tomorrow for the second race of the weekend.
