Robert Kubica: Spa, “another crucial step for us to prepare for Le Mans”
The Polish driver who is engaged with the Ferrari of AF Corse will take the 6 Hours of Spa as a final preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The speech is similar. Most of the drivers, during these 6 Hours of Spa, are saying the same words. This third round of the World Endurance Championship season will serve to prepare for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Robert Kubica is no exception. The Polish driver, at the wheel of the AF Corse Ferrari 499P, will take advantage of this event to fine-tune the settings and continue to learn about the behavior of his Hypercar before the biggest endurance race in the world.
« Spa-Francorchamps is one of the favorite circuits of many drivers, myself included. Compared to Imola, this circuit has completely different characteristics. So, we are looking forward to discovering the Ferrari 499P on the iconic corners of this circuit. I can’t wait to be there because I’m sure it will be something very special. It’s the last race before the main event of the season, so it will be another crucial step for us to prepare for Le Mans », said the former F1 driver.
For this race, Robert Kubica will start from 9th position on the grid. With his other two teammates, Robert Shwartzman and Yifei Ye, they could climb up the ranks, as Ferrari has shown an interesting pace in Belgium.
