24 Hours of Le Mans: The rest of the program
Free practice 3 ended on Thursday afternoon. But the week is far from over, with the first big highlight of this 92nd edition.
With an incredible qualifying session, the Hyperpole promises to be extraordinary! Free practice session 3 came to an end in the afternoon.
Qualifying will start at 8 pm this Thursday evening. Each class will run independently of each other for ten minutes, in order to avoid traffic. Once the starting grid is definitively established, the 62 cars will head out for a new night session, the ultimate free practice session (No. 4).
This Friday, there will be no driving, except in the morning for the first support races at 9 a.m. Afterwards, spectators and volunteers will be the focus of the entertainment, including the opening of the track to the public from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. At 4 p.m., the drivers will take part in their parade in the city center of Le Mans. Not to mention the concert of Ofenbach on the circuit site itself, starting at 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, spectators will already have plenty to enjoy: the races 2 of the Road to Le Mans and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo will animate the track before the start. There will of course be the warm-up for the cars of the 24 Hours, at noon, for a short quarter of an hour. Then, the grid walk will be open to people with a special bracelet, until an hour before the start of the race.
Finally, and this is the most important, the 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans will start at 4 p.m., with the finish at the same time the next day. The rest will be part of history.
