While the drivers are busy racing, the community managers are letting their hair down on the social networks. Here's a selection of the weekend's best tweets.

If you spend a lot of time on X, you know that it’s not uncommon for administrators, in charge of social media updates, to take advantage of races and Grand Prix weeks to have some fun. This results in many tweets that you shouldn’t miss. Among the best, the most recent is from the administrator of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix who prevented a fight between two drivers who made contact on the 64th lap, allowing George Russell to avoid it.

« George Russell was like: “I’ll take care of it from now on, guys. Thank you very much.”

Furthermore, George’s position during the introduction of F1 last year seems to have been widely embraced after his victory in Austria. But no one can embody it better than George Russell himself on his car at the end of the race.

A very nice photo at first glance, but that’s not taking into account the F1 administrator who preferred to choose another image to illustrate the driver’s victory.

Forget the T-Pose.

If you didn’t know, it would also seem that tweets can be premonitory. Like the one from Lando Norris’s social media manager that seems to have brought him bad luck for the race, even though the intention was simply to remind that Lando Norris was a Formula 1 driver.

On social networks, it is not uncommon for the administrators of Formula 1 teams’ official accounts to take the opportunity to exchange a few words with each other. More recently, the accounts of Red Bull and Racing Bulls came together to recreate a meme that has been circulating on social networks for some time. This joke follows a conversation recorded during the arrest of Justin Timberlake, between the singer and a police officer.

« It’s going to ruin the tour… »

Translate: « Quel tour ? »
What turn?

« THE WORLD TOUR »

Ultimately, the funniest thing about this weekend is probably the drivers who also don’t hesitate to entertain their audience. Some of them are not afraid to invest themselves as much as possible to embark on a career as a comedian on TikTok. This is the case of the Stake F1 Kick Sauber team, which is offering a new career opportunity to its drivers.

That being said, some on the grid prefer to find an alternative in the sports world for a career change. Daniel Ricciardo, on the other hand, is getting into freestyle scooter riding, just in case the discipline joins the next Olympic Games.

Sport has brought many people together this week and not only thanks to Formula 1, but also thanks to Euro 2024. This Saturday, Germany and Denmark were playing against each other in the round of 16. The perfect opportunity to bring together Nico Hülkenberg (who is German) and Kevin Magnussen (who is Danish) around a football match.

Despite a victory for Germany, Nico Hülkenberg had to endure the alliance of Logan Sargeant and Alexander Albon, around a ping-pong table. While he was being interviewed, he received an unidentified flying ball.

And if Nico Hülkenberg couldn’t determine the origin of the ping-pong ball, we, at the editorial office, are still trying to figure out what George Russell tried to communicate to us during his victory.

One last little one to finish off?

Honorable mention to Hans Zimmer, award-winning composer who seems to have enjoyed the podium as much as the drivers present that day.

Don’t you think she has a little Natasha Bedingfield vibe?
