Great Britain is home to many Formula 1 teams. This is notably the case of Williams Racing team. Founded in a small town in England, the link between Williams and Great Britain is therefore as much historical as it is modern. Many members of the Williams Racing team are British, the team is proud of its origins.

It is on the occasion of the British Grand Prix taking place at Silverstone this weekend that the team reveals a special livery in honor of its history. It will only remain for this race weekend.

The new single-seater will undergo some changes in its paintwork. To replace the team’s traditional blue color, the Union Jack flag will be installed on the back of the vehicle. But the Union Jack (official name of the flag) will have a small particularity. Williams Racing will display the names of the 1005 team members in a spectacular Union Jack livery for the British Grand Prix this weekend, as part of a series of home race celebration events, the team reported in its press release.

The flag will therefore be made using the names of the Williams Racing team members. Their names have been carefully integrated into the design of the red, white, and blue engine cover that crowns a week of special events and activities for Williams’ home race. The team has repeatedly demonstrated exceptional teamwork, remarkable resilience under pressure this season, and this livery pays tribute to the considerable human effort required to race in Formula 1, reads the text for the occasion.

In addition to the new livery, Williams strengthens its partnership with Myprotein and now displays the brand’s name on its rear wing.
