Through a commercial spot posted on their social media, Red Bull Racing unveils its special livery for this weekend’s British Grand Prix. This livery is the first of the three special liveries planned for this year, which will also be featured in Singapore and Austin.

Contrary to the one presented by Williams Racing yesterday, this livery is intended not for the staff, but rather for the fans of the team.

A competition for the RB20

Last March, the Red Bull Racing team launched a competition on its website. Intended for its fans, it offered the possibility to create a special design for the British Grand Prix. The competition came with a guest pass alongside Red Bull in the paddock.

The competition for the Silverstone livery was won by Chalaj Suvanish in Thailand. This opportunity was offered to him by REBL CUSTOMS and the Red Bull team on the occasion of their 20th season in Formula 1. Since then, the happy winner has spoken to share his feelings with the fans. “I wanted to enter the REBL CUSTOMS competition because the chance to create a special livery for my favorite team is an opportunity that only comes once in a lifetime. I was so lucky to have won, and now I can see a race in real life and I can’t really believe it, not only can I attend an F1 race, I can see the car I customized on the track!”

New developments on the car

The RB20, the car on the track for this year 2024, is now adorned with a red camouflage. This new design is inspired by the one worn in 2015 during pre-season testing. The Camo bull had been worn for the first time by the RB11 and was white in color. This time, it is presented in red. A quick nod to the livery that had caused a lot of buzz at the time. « I used red in the car design to represent the spirit and strength illustrated in the Red Bull logo and took inspiration from the way paint streaks are used in aerodynamic testing », explains Chalaj Suvanish, the contest winner. « I love watching Oracle Red Bull Racing win and I can’t describe how it would feel to see them win in my livery ».

For now, no winner has been chosen for the upcoming liveries, but the Red Bull team has already opened applications for special editions in Singapore and Austin, America.
