Kevin Magnussen should not have his contract renewed
Kevin Magnussen is being dominated by his teammate. So far, the Danish driver has a contract that ends at the end of the season. Haas has not yet discussed with the driver about extending their collaboration.

Kevin Magnussen is having a difficult season. With only 2 small points earned, the Danish driver sees his newly returned F1 teammate outperforming him. And the future in an F1 car seems uncertain for Kevin Magnussen. His contract ending at the end of the season, an extension is not yet on the table.
Present to attend the Hungarian Grand Prix, Haas team owner Gene Haas will also be present in Belgium. He is expected to discuss Nico Hülkenberg’s contract mostly. Kevin Magnussen, on the other hand, may not have his contract extended. The driver has been dominated by his teammate since the beginning of the season. And the numbers speak for themselves. In the qualifying games, Kevin Magnussen loses 9-2 against Nico Hülkenberg. In races, it’s a bit closer, but he still loses (6-5).
If the Danish driver does not convince this season, he still has the confidence of the team principal, Günther Steiner, who declares that he is absolutely satisfied with his duo of drivers. As for the contract, Günther Steiner prefers to take his time before rushing into it. But it is clear that the Danish driver will have to double his efforts if he wants to keep his place in F1. Logically, Kevin knows that he has to catch up with Nico. For the moment, Nico is doing better. Kevin has no problem admitting it either, affirmed the team principal.
