Haas F1 extends contract with Ferrari until 2028
The American team and the Italian automaker have announced the extension of their collaboration, which includes the supply of engines bearing the Prancing Horse logo.

Haas F1 has been in the spotlight for several weeks. Whether behind the scenes or on the track, the team led this season by Ayao Komatsu continues to make headlines.
First, it is the results that attract attention to the cars of Nico Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen. With three points finishes out of four possible in the last two races, Haas F1 is currently positioned as the fifth force on the grid behind the top four teams.
Then, the American team is animating the transfer market. They recently confirmed the appointment of Oliver Bearman for next season, and are the favorites to welcome Esteban Ocon in 2025 after the split between Alpine F1 and the French driver.
Finally, a few days ago, we learned that a technical partnership between Haas F1 and Toyota was about to be sealed, including in particular the use of the German manufacturer’s wind tunnel based in Cologne, Germany.
The latest development, therefore, is the announcement of the extension of the collaboration with Ferrari. This includes the supply of Italian power units until the end of the 2028 season. This means that Haas F1 will still be powered by Ferrari in 2026, when transitioning to engines running on sustainable fuels and in which the power from hybrid components will be higher.
Following this announcement, Ayao Komatsu wanted to react:
I am delighted to extend our relationship with Ferrari until 2028. We have only raced with Ferrari power units and having this stability at the time of transition to the new regulations is a key step in our development.
Haas F1 arrived in Formula 1 in 2016 and has indeed been powered exclusively by the firm based in Maranello. In eight and a half seasons and 178 Grand Prix races, the American team achieved one pole position and finished fifth in 2018 as its best result in the constructors’ championship.
Komatsu continues: « The relationship with Ferrari has always been special for us. They have been there since the inception of the program and have continued to be a valuable technical partner for nine seasons. My thanks go to Fred Vasseur and many other members of Scuderia Ferrari for continuing to believe in our project. This announcement is a new example of the long-term ambition of the MoneyGram F1 Team. Our investment and growth in the sport continue.
Before the thirteenth race of the season scheduled in Hungary, Haas F1 is seventh in the constructors’ championship, just four points behind the sixth place held by Racing Bulls.
