The Aston Martin Valkyrie offered to Fernando Alonso breaks down after its delivery
This Wednesday, the streets of Monaco were animated by a somewhat unusual presentation. Fernando Alonso, the iconic driver of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, took the wheel of his brand new Aston Martin Valkyrie, freshly delivered. A spectacular presentation, until his car broke down.

Proudly leaving the iconic Monte Carlo Bay hotel, Alonso presented a one-of-a-kind Aston Martin Valkyrie. Designed in close collaboration with Aston Martin’s bespoke design team, Q by Aston Martin, this hypercar is the perfect reflection of the blend between high-precision craftsmanship and technological innovation. But apparently, even the most beautiful creations can have their whims, as after a few spins, the Valkyrie suddenly decided to take an early break.
References to F1 that have style
Drawing inspiration from the AMR24, the Valkyrie features a livery in satin Aston Martin Racing Green, enhanced by AMR Satin Lime graphics, specifically designed to highlight the car’s aerodynamic elements. The impressive Venturi tunnel is accentuated by touches of Speed Red and blue in light and dark shades. The exposed carbon fiber elements, found on the roof, engine cover, and underbody aero, enhance the sporty and aggressive aesthetics of the hypercar, while a titanium Aston Martin Wings badge proudly adorns the vehicle’s nose. A personalized message « CAUTION HOT » has been applied to the rear, adding a touch of boldness to the overall look.
Inside, the cockpit is a real sanctuary. The visible carbon fiber is omnipresent, accompanied by pure black Alcantara, enhanced with contrasting AMR Lime stitching. The famous Alonso logo, subtly embroidered on the headrests, reminds of the driver’s personal involvement in the creation of this exceptional machine.
But the most striking detail is undoubtedly the red anodized aluminum accelerator pedal, engraved with the number 14. This number, emblematic for Alonso, refers to the age at which he became karting world champion on July 14, 1996, a welcoming nod to his career as a driver.
From F1 to the road: a successful collaboration
« It is difficult to describe in words how much I have been looking forward to this day,” said Fernando Alonso. « Sitting behind the wheel of my own Valkyrie, a car that I have worked closely on with the Q by Aston Martin team, is definitely an unforgettable day. The Valkyrie is truly an F1 car for the road, with so much knowledge and technology drawn from all of Aston Martin’s track experience, and I can’t wait to hit the road. »
With stunning performance, including a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in less than 2.5 seconds and a 6.5-liter V12 hybrid powertrain developing 1,155 hp, the Aston Martin Valkyrie embodies the peak of modern automotive engineering.
Handcrafted at Aston Martin’s historic headquarters in Gaydon, UK, each Valkyrie is the result of meticulous work, requiring over 2000 hours of work by a team of highly skilled technicians. Before being delivered to its lucky owners, each hypercar is carefully tested on the Silverstone track.
With this unique Valkyrie, Fernando Alonso not only honors his name on the circuits, but also reaffirms his status as an icon in the automotive world. However, it seems that even icons can experience some technical hiccups. Fortunately, for a world champion, a small breakdown is just another anecdote to add to his impressive list of achievements!
