Gabriele Minì will replace Oliver Bearman in F2 in Baku
Prema announced Gabriele Minì as a replacement for Ollie Bearman in Baku. Ollie Bearman will take part in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in F1 with Haas, replacing Kevin Magnussen, who is suspended for his clash with Pierre Gasly in Monza.
Following Kevin Magnussen’s suspension, Haas announced that British driver Ollie Bearman will take his place in Baku. As a result, a seat at Prema in F2 became available, and was ultimately given to Gabriele Minì, Formula 3 vice-world champion.
After joining Prema in 2020, the Italian had successful beginnings in his national Formula 4 championship. After that, he moved on to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine before clinching the runner-up title in Formula 3 this year.
This opportunity is the ideal moment for the 19-year-old driver to make his mark in a brand new series.
« I am very happy to join Prema Racing for the FIA Formula 2 race in Baku. We had a good season in 2024 and we fought for the title until the last corner. Formula 2 is the main option for 2025, so it is also very important to join the team from the beginning in Baku. It is a good opportunity for me to learn with the new car and the new series,” he expressed.

The Italian driver is about to move permanently to F2 in 2025 and Prema seems to be the team with which he will take this step. Oliver Bearman will access F1 with Haas, alongside Esteban Ocon, as early as 2025.
