DS Penske presents its new single-seater for Formula E season 11

The 11th season of Formula E is fast approaching and each team is getting ready to reveal its new colors. DS Penske has already checked this box by unveiling its Gen 3 EVO car in the magnificent lounges of the Plaza Athénée in the heart of Paris.

After two seasons with the Gen 3 single-seater, its evolution will allow drivers to have four-wheel drive during certain phases of the race such as the start or during the activation of Attack Mode. In addition, the new Hankook tires will provide more grip which could improve lap times by several seconds.

DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT intend to take advantage of this new era to regain a title that has eluded the French brand since season 6. Over the past two seasons, the Franco-American team has claimed a victory thanks to Jean-Eric Vergne, along with several podium finishes and pole positions.

The French driver is continuing his adventure for an eighth season with the French premium brand. As the only two-time champion in the discipline, Vergne aims to shine with his new single-seater on the track.

« It will be our role, us pilots, to make this car shine on the track as much as through its bodywork. I like it a lot. I appreciate the changes made by the FE in terms of design, especially in the front wing. It’s a car that looks fast with a nice evolution, so let’s make sure to make it win.

The Frenchman will have a new teammate this season with Maximilian Günther coming from Maserati. The German driver is looking forward to starting the adventure with his new team.

Being here in Paris to present this new car with such a beautiful design is something incredible. I am very excited at the idea of driving it. This will be my seventh season in Formula E and the first one with DS Penske, which makes it exciting. Our ambition is to win the championship and I want to be part of this project. I really can’t wait to start this new chapter of my career.

On the livery side, the DS E-TENSE FE25 features colors already seen during the Monaco ePrix 2024 with a dominant black and gold lines that delight the DS Performance director, Eugenio Franzetti.

The pre-season tests for season 11 will take place from November 4th to 7th before the first race of the championship which will be held in Sao Paulo on December 7th.
