8 Hours of Bahrain – Free Practice 2: BMW takes the lead
The BMW #15 set the fastest time in the second free practice session in Bahrain. Porsche and Ferrari are also in the mix.

As often, the hierarchy changes between the two practice sessions. While Peugeot had led the entire first session this morning, the Lionesses finished in the last two positions. The work was, of course, not the same as this morning and that of the other teams. A mere reading of the lap times confirms these statements.
At the top of the leaderboard is the BMW #15. It narrowly leads the Porsche #5, which was also among the leaders at the start of this last race of the season. Just behind, the Ferrari #51 is in sight. Toyota continues to hold its position in Bahrain with a fourth and a sixth place for the #7 and #8, respectively.
The Iron Ladies more comfortable this afternoon
Alpine has slightly progressed in the hierarchy. Ferdinand Habsburg’s #35 achieved the tenth best time while the sister car is a bit further behind, in fifteenth place.
In GT3, the Akkodis team confirmed its good performance from this morning. This time, it was not the #78, but the #87 that was at the top of the time sheet. The TF Sport Corvette achieved a very good second time just ahead of the Vista AF Corse Ferrari and the Iron Dames Lamborghini.
