Lamborghini ends its first WEC season with a retirement
The first season of the Lamborghini ended difficultly. The Italian team had to retire. Now, it remains to be seen whether we will see the Greens again next year.

In Bahrain, the Lamborghini SC63 was very discreet. Rarely, it was shown by the cameras. And for good reason, the Italian car did not have a great race and threw in the towel about thirty laps before the end. This retirement marks the end of a very difficult season.
« Unfortunately, we had to retire today due to a technical problem. This is not the ending we wanted. The season has been very challenging. We expected some difficulties, but towards the end, we still struggled a lot with the car and other aspects. A disappointing year, I must say, but we deserved to finish by completing the race. The guys worked very hard all season, and a big thank you to them for their dedication, hard work, and passion, acknowledged Mirko Bortolotti.
The Green team finished at the bottom of the constructors’ championship, if we ignore Isotta Fraschini who pulled out in the middle of the season. “It was a difficult challenge for us,” admitted Edoardo Mortara.
Car #63’s best position was obtained at Le Mans with a tenth place overall. Overall, apart from a few good battles, Lamborghini had a white season with an underperforming car. The level displayed in 2024 has indeed raised some suspicions, particularly regarding a presence on the grid next year. Several rumors have confirmed that the company will withdraw to fine-tune work on the SC63.
