The six Cadillac drivers are known for 2025
The 2025 WEC season is already starting in a certain way: Cadillac, which is changing its operating team, unveiled its six representatives on Thursday behind the wheel of Jota's two V Series cars.
The proof of performance was provided by the Jota team this year by running two Porsche 963s. Car number 12, by winning the 6 Hours of Spa, demonstrated that the British team had the resources to compete with the best in the Hypercar category.
The planets aligned for the Cadillac and Chip Ganassi team: they parted ways. It was a golden opportunity to become, as a just reward, a factory team for a major manufacturer and ensure its medium-term presence in the championship.
On Thursday, November 14, the two organizations announced who will be piloting the two prototypes. The race numbers will remain the same, but the specific teams have not been disclosed.
Be that as it may, the No. 12 and No. 38 will be driven by three men already committed to Cadillac: Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber will be part of it and will team up with Sébastien Bourdais, who will embark on a double WEC/IMSA program with the American manufacturer.
Three current Jota drivers will return to action: Will Stevens and Norman Nato will be part of the Cadillac Jota adventure, and Jenson Button, whose presence was in doubt, will sign up for another season. This means that Callum Ilott, Oliver Rasmussen, and Phil Hanson are leaving the British team.
