The famous host of Top Gear UK, Jeremy Clarkson, made a surprise visit to the Alpine factory in Enstone to reward the team for their exceptional performance at Interlagos.

This season has not been easy for Alpine, which was struggling before the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, with factories closing and internal tensions related to Renault’s decision to stop supplying engines.

However, the team brilliantly reversed the trend, with Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly achieving an incredible double podium at Interlagos, finishing P2 and P3 respectively, despite difficult weather conditions. This result allowed Alpine to climb to sixth place in the constructors’ championship, with a potential gain of $20 million.

Clarkson, faithful to his promise made after Ocon’s podium in Monaco in 2023, had declared that he would offer a pint to the team if Alpine made it back to the podium. After their success in Brazil, he therefore honored his commitment by bringing his own beer, Hawkstone, to the Enstone factory.

In a slightly chaotic but friendly moment, he almost spilled the beers while handing them to Pierre Gasly, before catching himself with a “That’s what you call reflexes!”

The French team really needed a moment of lightness like this one after the recent tensions related to the stoppage of the Renault engine and the poor performance of the team this season. Let’s hope to see more similar moments in the future!
