Things are moving at Peugeot. After recruiting Théo Pourchaire as a reserve driver, the Frenchman was in charge of a major testing session in early January with the brand’s Hypercar. Even though he doesn’t have a main driver spot, he remains a key option in case of an issue with one of the structure’s six other drivers.

The six other men have already been announced. And there are no big surprises. In the Peugeot 9X8 #93, we will find Jean-Éric Vergne, Paul di Resta, and Mikkel Jensen. « They bring solid cohesion, proven expertise, and great consistency », assesses Olivier Jansonnie, technical director of the Peugeot Sport program.

The sister car will be driven by Loïc Duval, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Malthe Jakobsen, who was recruited during the previous season. They combine the strategic vision of experienced drivers with the energy and audacity of a promising young driver.

Peugeot has built its teams based on a precise balance between experience and dynamism, announces Ilivier Jansonnie.

The 2025 WEC season will start on February 28 with the inaugural event at the Lusail International Circuit for the 1812 km of Qatar. Peugeot will try to achieve a good result, similar to its podium finish in Bahrain at the end of 2024.
