Dakar 2025 – Stage 11: Second consecutive victory for Ford, Yazeed Al Rajhi close to the title
On the eve of the finish, the Saudi driver took a serious option for overall victory by retaking the lead from Henk Lategan.

Dunes, dunes, and more dunes. This penultimate stage of the Dakar lived up to all its promises and even produced a new winner this year. After winning two stages with Audi over the last three editions, Mattias Ekström gave Ford a second consecutive best time following Nani Roma’s yesterday. The Swedish driver finished 41 seconds ahead of Nasser Al-Attiyah, allowing him to get a bit of a lead over the Qatari in the overall standings.
In the general standings, the leader has once again changed as Yazeed Al Rajhi now finds himself in front on his home turf, with a little over six minutes lead over Henk Lategan. Driving their Toyotas, the two men and their copilots have swapped the lead over the past four days. However, it’s the Overdrive Racing team driver who is now just about a hundred kilometers away from his first victory in the Dakar.
Tomorrow, the special stage will be 61 kilometers to which 70 kilometers of liaison must be added. Even though historically, the last day of the Dakar is an opportunity to salute the competitors who have braved numerous obstacles to reach the finish, the situation could be different this year with small gaps and a tricky route up to the last kilometer.
