Max Verstappen treats himself to a new private jet
Verstappen Airways is in service! The triple Formula 1 world champion has acquired a Falcon 8X, a private jet worth over 50 million euros, with enhanced range and custom design.

Max Verstappen doesn’t just dominate Formula 1 on the track, he does so in the air as well! The news was revealed by VerstappenJet on X, an account that tracks the movements of the Red Bull driver. And it’s safe to say that Max doesn’t do things halfway: with his family expanding, the three-time world champion has decided to trade his Falcon 900EX for a brand new Falcon 8X. A nice upgrade, especially considering that his previous model, bought from Richard Branson for around 12 million euros, had more limited range.
An aircraft designed for performance… and style
Goodbye Falcon 900EX, hello Falcon 8X! This model, produced in 2022, is a true powerhouse in terms of performance. According to reports, this new aircraft from Dassault Aviation is valued between 50 and 55 million euros. Quite an investment, but for a driver who frequently travels around the globe, it’s almost a working tool! Especially since this Falcon 8X offers a much more comfortable range: up to 11,945 kilometers without refueling. Enough to connect Europe to Asia or South America non-stop.
In a few figures:
- An autonomy of 11,945 km without refueling, compared to 7,400 km for its predecessor
- A 15% reduction in fuel consumption (compatible with sustainable aviation fuel)
The little extra? This Falcon 8X has been customized to perfectly match the Red Bull driver’s image. The matte black livery with orange accents echoes his helmet, car, and even his personal logo. If Verstappen wanted a plane that reflects his image, it’s a mission accomplished. Although few details have emerged about the exact interior layout, one can expect an ultra-luxurious space with all the necessary comforts to relax between Grand Prix races.
« Verstappen Airways » in service
We know that Max Verstappen likes to share his journeys with other drivers. Last year, it was not uncommon to see Lando Norris on board with him! A colossal investment, certainly, but for the triple champion, it guarantees traveling faster, further, and with maximum comfort. And with such a busy schedule, it’s almost essential.
Most private jets are rented out to make one-way trips profitable, for example. Indeed, to avoid paying parking fees, planes often need to return to their base airport. These “empty leg” flights are thus offered to clients who can afford a private jet flight, costing at least €5,000 to €10,000 per trip.
F1 drivers are “compelled” to travel for work, and this private jet is obviously not used only for Max Verstappen. In addition to some of his fellow drivers, his close team, physiotherapist, or family travel with him.
The Falcon 900X can carry up to 14 passengers, while the Falcon 8X can carry up to 16 passengers (excluding cabin crew and pilots).
