Lewis Hamilton has been named the new global ambassador for Lululemon. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion, who recently joined Ferrari, will partner with the Canadian brand that specializes in high-end sportswear, notably for yoga, running, and training.

« Lululemon products are exceptionally high-quality, look beautiful, and ultimately provide the performance I need. I am excited to partner with a brand that takes a holistic approach to well-being. Together, we want to inspire our communities to become the best versions of themselves. », said Hamilton at the announcement.

Nikki Neuburger, head of brand and product activation at Lululemon, expressed delight with this collaboration: « Lewis is a true trailblazer in every sense of the word. His unwavering commitment to performance, well-being, and impact perfectly aligns with what we stand for at Lululemon. We are thrilled to partner with him to innovate, inspire, and create positive change together. »

This partnership is part of Lululemon’s strategy to develop its men’s line, a segment Hamilton was not familiar with before being contacted by the brand: “I didn’t know they made men’s clothing. Obviously, I had met women who swore by Lululemon – and I thought, ‘Uh, I can’t wear their leggings!’” the British driver shared during an interview with GQ.

Hamilton will be featured in Lululemon’s No Holding Back campaign, which will highlight the dedication required for elite training and showcase the brand’s latest men’s clothing collections, including the Metal Vent Tech range.

Much more than an advertising partnership

More than just an ambassador role, the British champion will be directly involved with Lululemon’s research, innovation, and development teams. He will contribute to the development of future products by sharing his expertise and feedback on athletic and lifestyle collections, always in search of that extra one percent that makes the difference, he emphasized.

This partnership also includes an important social component. The Centre for Social Impact at Lululemon will work with Mission 44, Hamilton’s foundation, to integrate movement and mental well-being into their initiatives aimed at providing a more equitable future for young people, particularly through education, employment, and empowerment.

With this new role, Hamilton joins a growing list of Lululemon ambassadors, including athletes such as PGA golfers Min Woo Lee and Max Homa, tennis players Frances Tiafoe and Leylah Fernandez, as well as stars from American football (NFL), basketball (NBA), and ice hockey (NHL).
