After winning the title in 2024, Pulling will compete for Rodin Cars in GB3 (the United Kingdom Formula 3 Championship). The 2024 season was exceptional for the young Briton, who dominated the F1 Academy championship with nine victories in 14 races. This remarkable performance allowed her to win the title without ever leaving the podium.

« After our victorious season in the F1 Academy and after long discussions, I have decided not to renew with the BWT Alpine F1 team. Thank you to the team and partners for your support and wonderful memories. Thank you, Alpine. I am excited to start a new chapter with Rodin Cars », Pulling wrote on X.

Shortly after Pulling’s statement, Alpine took to social media to thank the driver for the memories created together: “Our F1 Academy champion! Thank you for the memories spent together, Abbi Pulling. We are so proud of everything you accomplished during your time with us; it was amazing to see you grow and develop, and we wish you the best of luck for the future and will continue to closely follow your progress.”

The decision to withdraw from the Enstone team’s driver program, of which she was a part, was made last Friday. The 21-year-old driver was signed by Alpine in March 2022, before representing the team in the F1 Academy over the past two seasons.

Before making her ascent in the F1 Academy, Abbi Pulling was twice crowned British karting champion, thus strengthening her reputation in the motorsport world. She began her career in the W Series in 2021, where she consistently finished in the points and was recognized for her talent and determination.

Towards new challenges in GB3

In November 2024, F1 Academy promised a seat in GB3 to the season champion, while Pulling was leading the championship with a 95-point lead over Doriane Pin. The program also included 20 days of testing funded by Pirelli, aimed at supporting the winner’s progression.

David Dicker, founder of Rodin Cars, enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of the driver: At Rodin, we are dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent and giving them every opportunity to explore their full potential. With Abbi Pulling as our team ambassador, this not only strengthens our competitive advantage but also aligns with our vision of promoting excellence in motorsport.

Pulling approaches this new stage with ambition and clarity. In an interview for Sky Sports F1, she stated: « I think this year will be the most challenging of my career. I got the result last year to secure my position, and I’m going into this new year with full confidence, knowing I can be at the front. I just have to work behind the scenes, and who knows what might happen. »

The single-seaters used in GB3 are more powerful than those in the F1 Academy. For the 2025 season, the series will see a new race prototype, the Tatuus MSV GB3-025, make its debut on the circuits. With its aggressive lines and optimized performance, this machine promises to advance young drivers in their journey toward F3, F2, and eventually F1, offering a technical and accessible playground.

Pulling is eagerly welcoming this new development: « I will simply do my best and try to get to grips with the car as quickly as possible. We haven’t been able to test yet because the cars have not arrived, so everything will be quite condensed, but I’m really looking forward to it. », she stated.
