Grand Prix of Madrid: Organizers Unveil the Layout and Name of the Circuit

The Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in Madrid from 2026 and at least until 2035. Its name is now official, as announced by Ifema Madrid.

« MADRING is much more than just an invitation to experience the adrenaline of Formula 1—it’s a gateway to a unique experience in a city as vibrant as Madrid », says Ifema in a press release. This Grand Prix will have a modern and contemporary identity, in line with this new era of show-circuits ». The Madrid Grand Prix is thus fully embracing its continuity with that of Las Vegas, for example. Ifema is betting on Madrid’s strengths to attract fans, highlighting its « art of living, culture, entertainment options, and safety ». The race will take place right next to the airport to facilitate the arrival of spectators.

In the image of the Red Bull Ring, the organization has chosen to merge the word “ring,” often used to designate circuits, with the name of the city. Ifema notes that the full official [Grand Prix] names are rarely used: the simplicity of the name chosen here might make the difference.

A brand in its own right, with its own identity.

Madring will have its own social networks, already launched: X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube… fans interested in events around this Grand Prix will not miss out on the information.

The visual identity has, of course, been carefully crafted, and colors have been chosen to highlight the event: Red, symbolizing passion, Formula 1, and the Community of Madrid. Yellow, as a homage to the Spanish flag. As for the logo, Ifema explains that its typography reflects the very essence of the race, the excitement, and the movement.
