The Australian Grand Prix, the first round of the 2025 Formula 1 season, took place early on Sunday at Melbourne's Albert Park circuit. The race was marked by difficult weather conditions, with intermittent showers and a damp track, leading to some unexpected twists and turns, but which did not discourage Charles Leclerc, who finished in the points!

The 2025 Formula 1 season officially kicked off very early (for Europe) this Sunday with the Australian Grand Prix, but it was not an easy ride for the drivers. After a rather decent start to the weekend, Charles Leclerc began the race from the seventh position on the starting grid. Right from the first lap, he faced changing track conditions, complicating tire management and strategies for the entire team. During the race, the Monegasque made a mistake by losing the rear of his car, which forced him into a spin and caused him to lose several positions.

Charles Leclerc finally crossed the finish line in eighth position and in the points, still expressing his disappointment after the race: « I have to be better than the others, but I clearly wasn’t today, that’s the first thing to point out. Then, we need to look at what needs to be redone. It’s always difficult to have the perfect strategy in these conditions and to pinpoint exactly when the cloud and rain arrive on the track. It started to rain heavily at the exit of the corner; from that moment on, it was already too late. I blame myself for my mistake, it cost us four places and it hurts. »

On his side, Lewis Hamilton, new teammate of Charles Leclerc at Ferrari, also encountered difficulties during his first race with the team. Starting from eighth position, the Briton expressed his frustration with the team’s strategic choices and the challenges of adapting to the car.
