Isack Hadjar continues to impress in Japan

The Frenchman, aboard his Racing Bulls, was perfect. He scored his first career points, which he would have deserved earlier.

What if after three Grand Prix, he became the true leader of Racing Bulls? Except for his blunder in Australia where he hit the wall before the start, Isack Hadjar managed to keep up with the experienced Yuki Tsunoda in China. A true performance for a rookie.

Even against Liam Lawson, who has a bit more experience than the Frenchman, he did not have to feel embarrassed. Proof of this is his strong performance in qualifying, which allowed him to start ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Then his race management earned him his first four points in the discipline.

What is striking is that Isack Hadjar is currently, in the rankings, the second-best driver in the Red Bull family. Yuki Tsunoda only has three points, and Liam Lawson still has a blank score.

The French driver seems to be full of confidence at the wheel of this single-seater, but be careful not to overdo it. Because, as many say, one can go from hero to zero in a split second. But for now, he holds his position. And is even doing better than expected.

« P8 is deserved. It’s almost a perfect weekend. We knew that Lewis was going to pass in any case, we knew we were going to have to fight against Albon », stated the Racing Bulls driver on Canal +.

He did note a weak point in this weekend. His physical condition took a hit due to the intense pace of this Grand Prix. Without real tire degradation, the pace increased lap after lap. « My neck is just destroyed. »
