Jamie Chadwick already making endurance history
The Briton won her first endurance race on her first appearance. She is the first woman to stand on the ELMS podium since Sophia Flörsch. But above all, she is the first woman to win an LMP2 in this championship.

First race, first victory, and already in the history books. On Sunday, April 6, the first round of the ELMS was held at the Barcelona circuit, with a four-hour event on the agenda. At the end of the race, the LMP2 of IDEC Sport crossed the finish line in first place.
This result confirms the intentions of the team that has ties with Genesis Magma Racing, which will join the Hypercar category in the WEC next year. But beyond this success, the crew includes Jamie Chadwick in its ranks. The three-time F1 Academy champion has thus won her first endurance race.
By stepping onto the podium, she became the first woman to achieve such a performance since Sophia Flörsch with her second place at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet in 2022. She also became the first driver to win in LMP2 in this championship. The Briton sends a strong message for the upcoming selections to secure a seat with the South Korean brand that will join the top category of endurance racing in 2026.
After excelling in the all-female single-seater series, Jamie Chadwick then moved on to Indy NXT where she secured her first victory last year. She finally joined IDEC Sport at the beginning of the season with the goal of reaching WEC as quickly as possible.
