A very solid race for Pierre Gasly in Bahrain
At the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, Pierre Gasly drove a solid race to finish in seventh place, giving his Alpine team six valuable points.

Starting fourth on the grid, Pierre Gasly was able to capitalize on opportunities during the race. After an efficient start, he quickly maintained his place in the top 10. A timely strategy during a safety car allowed him to switch to soft tires, thereby enhancing his pace. He overtook Alex Albon to seize ninth place and continued to close the gap with the drivers ahead, eventually finishing in seventh position.
This performance contrasts with the difficulties faced by his teammate, Jack Doohan, who finished in fourteenth place and was penalized for exceeding track limits too often.
After the race, Gasly expressed his satisfaction with his performance and that of the team, while acknowledging that improvements were necessary to close the gap with the leaders.
« In truth, I’m a bit disappointed with the last lap, but well, after all, I think we need to put things into perspective. I need to calm down a bit emotionally. I gave a lot, a lot during these last 15 laps to try to keep him (Max Verstappen) behind, to keep him out of the DRS. So close to the goal, losing 2 points is never pleasant. I think when we put things into perspective a little, for sure there are a lot of positives to take from this race. The team did a great job. Very good pit stops, very good strategy. We were performing, consistently performing »,” he said after the race.
In summary, the Bahrain Grand Prix was a positive race for the French driver and the French Alpine team, offering encouraging prospects for the rest of the season.
