Official: Genesis unveils its Hypercar in several photos
Genesis has unveiled the first sketches of its Hypercar. The brand will join the World Endurance Championship in 2026.

We had a first idea of its curves. Last autumn, when Genesis announced its interest in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship, the brand briefly unveiled its Hypercar.
The South Korean structure was more generous with visuals on Wednesday, April 16. In a statement, several representations of the car were presented.
Similar to other Hypercar models, the Genesis GMR-001 incorporates features from production cars. The race car’s rear wing may slightly evoke the design of the Ferrari 499P. A massive wing, with strips serving as taillights.
On these visuals, the car is orange. A point that might upset McLaren, which will join this competition in 2027. As a reminder, the brand based in Woking uses this same color on its liveries.
Except for these new visuals, not much more is known about this Hypercar project. The car will be equipped with a V8, like Cadillac. However, this one will be developed and is expected to use technologies developed in rallying.
For the moment, the GMR-001 has not yet run. Genesis, through Magma Racing, is only involved in LMP2 in the European Le Mans Series, which achieved a first victory in this series recently in Barcelona.
