Farah AlYousef makes her F1 Academy debut
The world of Saudi motorsport is abuzz with the announcement of Farah AlYousef's F1 Academy debut. Selected as a wild-card entry for the race in Jeddah, she embodies the hope and ambition of the country's young female drivers.
Farah AlYousef is preparing to join the world of the F1 Academy this weekend, following her selection by the Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC), organizer of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, as a wild-card driver for the second round in Jeddah. She follows in the footsteps of Reema Juffali, the first wild-card driver in the series last year. Farah AlYousef, aged 22, will drive the #4 car for the Hitech TGR team.
Crowned champion at the Saudi Women’s Karting Championship in 2022, AlYousef also participated in the world karting final and will represent her country at the FW Nations Cup final in Dubai next May. In preparation for her participation in the F1 Academy, she began competing in the Middle East F4 Championship and completed multiple tests on the Jeddah Corniche track, including three days of testing two weeks ago as part of this championship.
The SMC has chosen AlYousef, an emerging talent in Saudi Arabian motorsport, as part of its commitment to support local talent and offer Saudi women opportunities to compete at the highest level.
