6 Hours of Imola – Free Practice 2: Ferrari continues to dominate
After leading the first free practice session, the Scuderia did it again in the second. BMW shows up in both categories.

Ferrari had intentions. The Scuderia confirms. Whether on a drying track or on asphalt without the slightest trace of moisture, the Ferrari 499P showed a certain ease in all these conditions. The #51 achieved the best time this afternoon, succeeding the #83 this morning.
BMW stood up to the Italian cars with the second-fastest time. Alpine surprised by staying very close to the other two Hypercars with the third reference. The French team had a strong start to the weekend. They will need to continue to unlock the points tally and build confidence for the rest of the season.
The Cadillacs, although a bit further back, remain in the game and could be the main threat to Ferrari on Italian soil. Unsurprisingly, Aston Martin took the last two spots of the session.

In GT3, after completing a very interesting run in free practice 1, Akkodis with its two Lexuses repeated the performance in the afternoon session by securing the top two positions. The BMW #46 of team WRT completed the podium.
In retreat this morning, the Aston Martins of Racing Spirit of Léman and Heart of Racing accelerated to achieve the seventh and eighth fastest times. The Porsche of the Iron Dames fell back in the hierarchy and slipped into the second part of the standings.
