Ava Dobson will start at the wheel of the #90 single-seater managed by Hitech TGR.
The 16-year-old American started her career in open-wheels in 2023 in the American Formula 4 championship, while being awarded a Parella Motorsports Holdings Powering Diversity scholarship. At the same time, she participated in competitions in the USF Juniors and USF2000.
Last year, she participated in her first race abroad in the British GB4 championship. This year, Dobson returned for a full season, scoring her first points in the first two rounds at Donington Park and Silverstone.
Susie Wolff, F1 Academy director, stated: « We are very proud to welcome Morgan Stanley as the first financial partner of F1 Academy, marking its first foray into motorsport sponsorship. » The brand has been advocating for excellence and innovation for 90 years and is heavily investing in women’s sports. « This partnership supports female talent in motorsport. » A significant challenge for a paddock that has been slowly becoming more feminine over the past few years.
