Tops

Third consecutive victory for Oscar Piastri

The opponents were left more than thirty seconds behind, and the most surprising thing is that the McLarens didn’t even need to push. Oscar Piastri, who started from fourth position, mastered the Miami Grand Prix from start to finish. He thus secures his third consecutive victory, the fourth in six races. He leads his teammate Lando Norris, with both McLarens seeming to be racing in another dimension. In the overall standings, they are taking off: 131 points for Oscar Piastri, 115 for Lando Norris. One thing is certain: McLaren dominates, and it is becoming difficult to imagine who can stop them this season.

Great performance for Alex Albon

Starting sixth and seventh, the Williams drivers had a strong opportunity, and Alex Albon took full advantage of it. Thanks to a well-executed strategy and a virtual safety car at the right time, he minimized losses during his pit stop. Then, he managed to maintain a strong pace, keeping the Ferraris, Kimi Antonelli, and even Carlos Sainz behind him. He finishes in a superb fifth place and leaves with 10 well-deserved points.

Kimi Antonelli has a great weekend in Florida.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli made a strong impression at the Miami Grand Prix 2025. At just 18 years old, he secured the pole position for the sprint race, becoming the youngest driver to achieve this feat in Formula 1. Even though he only finished seventh in the sprint, he showed good pace throughout the weekend. In the main race, he started from third place and secured a solid sixth position at the finish, ahead of several experienced drivers. This result allows him to climb to sixth place in the championship, confirming that he is already a serious contender among the greats.

Flops

Jack Doohan’s last race?

Rumors suggest that Jack Doohan might not be present at Imola in two weeks. Already under pressure since his arrival at Alpine, the team’s second driver started from 14th position, but his Grand Prix ended in the second lap after a collision with Liam Lawson right at the start. **Another mistake for the Australian, which could very well hasten the end of his journey with Alpine.**

Another strategic problem for Ferrari

The Scuderia had a particularly difficult weekend. Despite an almost unexpected third place for Lewis Hamilton in the sprint race, Ferrari struggled to keep up in the race, settling for a seventh position for Charles Leclerc and an eighth for Hamilton. Even more worrying, both drivers expressed their frustration with the team’s strategic decisions, signaling a tense post-race meeting. After six Grand Prix, Ferrari appears to be the most troubled leading team. This raises serious concerns.

A mixed result for the French drivers

Pierre Gasly experienced a difficult weekend. After a failed qualifying that saw him eliminated in Q1, he had to start the race from the pit lane to adjust his car. During the race, he couldn’t make it back into the points, finishing in 13th place. Esteban Ocon had a good qualifying by reaching Q3, but couldn’t maintain his pace during the race. He lost several positions and finished in 12th place, without scoring points. Isack Hadjar showed strong resilience by finishing in 11th place, just outside the points. He managed to outperform drivers like Gasly and Ocon and remained competitive throughout the race.
