6 Hours of Spa – Qualifying: A Ferrari hat-trick
Ferrari has had no competition since the start of the season. Once again, the Scuderia was the fastest thanks to the #50 in qualifying.

Who can stop Ferrari this season? Since Qatar, the Scuderia has had no real competition. This new qualifying session has once again proved it. The three Prancing Horse cars took the top three spots. Car #50 secured pole position ahead of AF Corse’s privateer, car #51, followed by the other official car.
Great performance for Peugeot, placing its #94 in fourth place, just 0.017 seconds behind the third Ferrari. The other 9X8 also achieved a strong hyperpole with the seventh reference. At Alpine, a very good job was also done with the sixth and ninth fastest times. Sandwiched between all the French cars were the two Cadillacs and the BMW #20.
The qualifications were much more difficult for the other brands, which are well ordered: the BMW #15 followed by the three Porsches, then the two Toyotas. The Aston Martins brought up the rear.
On the GT3 side, the pole position of the Lexus #78 was not a surprise as the Akkodis car has been performing well at the start of the weekend. The surprise comes from Aston Martin. The Racing Spirit of Léman missed out on the pole position by two-tenths. Patrick Barbier’s team will start second this Saturday.
At Porsche, these qualifications are somewhat mixed with the #92 from Manthey starting eighth, while the Iron Dames’ car did not manage to make it past the hyperpole stage. The female trio could only achieve the thirteenth best time.
Once again, the Corvettes struggled in this fast lap exercise, just like the Mercedes, which are still lacking benchmarks.
