With no fewer than 21 prototypes competing in the Hypercar class, this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans promises to be very competitive. Eight different manufacturers will attempt to claim victory, and all will have a chance: last year, nine cars finished on the winner’s lap, a record that could well be broken in just over a month. In total, the premier category will feature 15 drivers who have already stood on the top step of the podium at Le Mans, from Earl Bamber to Sébastien Buemi and Antonio Giovinazzi. The outcome of the race will be all the more uncertain.

This new edition of the classic race in Le Mans will feature the presence of Aston Martin, which has not been seen in the Sarthe in the top category for quite some time.

The competition in GT3 promises to be very intense. A total of nine giants, from Ferrari to McLaren, will compete for victory, with 24 cars in total: a record for LMGT3. On the drivers’ side, we find Grand Turismo specialists like Richard Lietz, as well as the young up-and-comers like Loek Hartog.

Only race of the season in WEC where they are allowed, the LMP2 could bring more spice and suspense. Year after year, the LMP2 continues to offer an incredible show. The players in this class are made for long battles that sometimes extend until the very last moments. This year, the LMP2 is marked by the presence of André Lotterer at IDEC Sport. The triple winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is thus preparing for the future arrival of Genesis in Hypercar by 2026, but other contenders should not be overlooked. In total, 17 LMP2 cars will compete from June 14 to 15.
