A 400th Grand Prix in Formula 1, a second victory this season and a championship completely revived with Max Verstappen's victory on Sunday at Imola, earning him the status of Driver of the Day.

This Sunday, Max Verstappen won the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at the Imola circuit, giving Red Bull a memorable victory for its 400th Grand Prix in Formula 1 and earning the driver of the day status. Starting in second position, the Dutchman overtook Oscar Piastri at the first corner and led the race until the finish, marking his second victory of the season and the 65th of his career.
A strategic and controlled race
Despite constant pressure from the McLarens, the Red Bull driver managed to handle the two safety car periods and maintain his lead thanks to an effective tire strategy. He also set the fastest lap of the race on lap 58, further consolidating his dominant performance.
A revived championship
With this victory, Max Verstappen narrows the gap in the championship, positioning himself 22 points behind leader Oscar Piastri and 9 points behind Lando Norris. The next stage will take place in Monaco, where the battle for the title promises to be even more intense.
