Jamie Chadwick and IDEC Sport: the team on fire ahead of the Le Mans 24 Hours
With two ELMS victories to its name, IDEC Sport enters Le Mans as one of the favorites. After making history in just two races, Jamie Chadwick could take things to the next level in the Sarthe.

Heading for a three out of three? It would be an XXL performance. After dominating the first two rounds of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), IDEC Sport will arrive in Sarthe with a certain status.
The organization, which will be the operator of Genesis next year, the hypercar to be fielded by Hyundai in WEC, made a strong impression in the LMP2 category. In the first two rounds of the ELMS, the trio consisting of Jamie Chadwick, Dani Juncadella, and Mathys Jaubert won everything, whether it was the 4 Hours of Barcelona or the 4 Hours of Castellet.
« On #18, the crew had a flawless race. There were no incidents. Jamie executed her first two stints perfectly. She held her ground well in difficult conditions. Dani continued the work to climb up the standings, and Mathys finished the job beautifully by managing the traffic perfectly. I am very happy for the whole team, for the drivers, for our partner, Genesis Magma Racing. First year together, and we are showing our expertise and our ability to run two cars », summarized Nicolas Minassian, the team principal, after the event in the South of France.
These two successes allow the tricolor team to benefit from a 23-point lead over the second in the championship, Vector Sport.
Although the ELMS and the 24 Hours of Le Mans are two quite different worlds, the trio from IDEC Sport showed a very impressive pace in the race. However, the Sarthe race is six times longer than the ELMS events, so in theory, there can be six times more incidents.
After becoming the first woman to win in the European championship, Jamie Chadwick could further etch her name in the history books with a class victory at Le Mans. Especially in her first participation.
