No second driver withdrawal. But a driver penalized. Following Aston Martin’s announcement regarding Lance Stroll’s withdrawal from the Spanish Grand Prix, the FIA stewards have indicated that a driver has just been sanctioned.

During the pre-race technical checks, it turned out that Yuki Tsunoda had changed his suspension settings under Parc Fermé conditions. Such modifications are prohibited by the regulations.

As a result, the Japanese driver will have to start from the pit lane. Therefore, there will only be eighteen cars on the starting grid at 3 PM.

This penalty changes little for the Red Bull driver, who could not do better than the twentieth and last time during qualifying.
